Ak is just to much fun

Bought myself a saiga ak couple of weeks back, why didn't I do it sooner, such and fun and unfussy gun!
Might have to find a scope for it, but apart from that probably best money I've spent of a gun.

Although it took a while to pick my brass up!

Yep, they are great fun. Wouldn't want to part with mine although it's not the most accurate thing in the cabinet! If you're interested I think I have a spare 6x POSP scope in the cupboard that I might be persuaded to sell, give me a shout if you want me to check.

I was lucky enough to "have a hold" of murphwiz's Saiga AK when I bought his GSG a couple of weeks back. It's a lovely bit of kit, if only I had a decent range to shoot one on I'd snap one up too.

Doz, I will never forget shooting McQueen with you and some other F-B'ers in torrential rain and watching the water run out of your barrel like a tap, you gave it a shake, loaded a magazine and shot, I was so impressed with that rifle being able to cope with such grim conditions and certainly it was an eye opener for me.

:good:

Doz, I could be interested in that scope, do let me know if and how much!

Quite an impressively simple but strong design, strip down to clean was stupidly simple, the seller did tell me if I manage to break it, he will give me a medal!

I have a 7.62x39 slot on my FAC especially for one. Dunno when I'll get around to filling it, but after shooting a mates a few times I need one in my cabinet. Cheap ammo too. :good:

Do it soon!
Portsmouth gun centre has had one advertised for some time, I was going to go and see if he would have a haggle up on the price, but one came up just down the road for a bargain price!

I'd love to, but it's all about the cash. I just filled my .223/5.56 slot and need optics for it, so the AK will have to wait a bit now. I will definitely get one eventually though.

Only AK I've shot is the Saiga 12, awesome piece of kit and surprisingly light, only though the 24" barrel would make it barrel heavy, instead it just makes the thing more reliable.
