yep - voted...there should be a midlife crisis category as well
'Windage & Elevation Miss. Langdon - Windage & Elevation!'
Re: How old are you?
I started fullbore TR when I was 50, but had used a shotgun since the age of 10. The median age of the membership of one of my clubs is probably 60, but then, the Main Meeting at Bisley in July balances this with the cadet population lowering the age of participants. Many cadets continue TR into adulthood; would Karen, Iain or the NRA be able to shed light on the age distribution of TR shooters?
Re: How old are you?
43 now, started air pistols at 11years & 1st shotgun licence at 15years then discovered girls, motorbikes & beer so shooting went on the back burner. tongueout
Returned to shooting about 4 years ago & now have SGC, FAC, 3 gun safes, 3 ammo safes & a blister on my trigger finger (making up for lost time) :shakeshout:

32 years young, but I wished I started earlier instead of spending money on other things!

Re: How old are you?
Vited, but am now depressed as I'm in the 40-49 group as of a couple of weks ago.
I started shooting at 13, with a Lee Enfield (and later an SA80) as a Cadet when I was at school. After that to be honest I gave it a break for a while, other than shooting when in the US and Canada.
As for reasons why not too many younger members, perhaps it's a sign of the times. If I wanted to shoot 20 years ago I would have to go out and shoot. If I want to shoot now, I go and find a games console, rather than having to navigate through 400 yrds of red tape to do it for real. My, I really am older and grumpier than a few weeks ago.

Just wondering if this poll be refreshed? Since it was started in Jan 2012 - I've had one birthday and changed categories as a result and now I'm about to have another birthday!
