My grandad had a copy of “workshop receipts for manufacturers mechanics and scientific amateurs” by ernest spon its dated 1883, used to fascinate me as kid, gave instructions on making all sorts of stuff that interests small boys. Sits on my bookshelf now, totally battered and been well thumbed in its 130 odd years.
Just had a look on ebay copies of various editions for under £20.

No problem, I am glad to help when I can, as I can't often help with the shooting side (being relatively new to the sport).

You can find a lot of copyright books on there.
