I don't think any firearm I own or have owned was right for me out of the box. The issues which were mag related, so caused by Glock not Bob (Gen 4 glock mags have been causing issues with glock pistols as well).

Got to disagree TW. Who designed it? Who made the decisions on what and where to use it? I've previously owned three SGC rifles and I never will again. Unfortunately at the time, Bob was the only one that offered what I was looking for. But, I'll always stand by that it is a 10 out of 10 for Bob and his inovation and vision. But a big, fat zero for execution......

DM, so sorry to hear that :(
If I can get out in the morning I'll give mine another go and see how it does.
Trigger, not just me then, I accept it's not a target rifle but the trigger is very heavy.
Other minor things, I'm not a mechanical engineer but ....
#1 Fire/Safe lever, surely should be pushed up to horizontal for the Fire position not straight down vertically where it sits under the hand/trigger finger when shooting.
#2 Bolt release lever, again should have been pivoting on the opposite side so your pushing down with your thumb and not having to go over the pivot point and push down on the side furthest away.
#3 Barrel size, can't get a reply from Wildcat or anyone else I've tried about getting a 3/4" x 16unf moderator fitting, now going to take it to my RFD/Gunsmith and ask if he can turn it down to say a M15/1 metric same as my Steyr, shouldn't be a problem given there's an inch of barrel sticking out past the muzzle crown (why?).

If it was my rifle, I'd reject it under the Sale of Goods Act. Clearly not fit for the purpose. Send it back before altering it invalidating your warranty.
I have now happily decided I can do without one of these and all the hassle.

1 Strip the rifle and remove the buffer & spring out of the stock
2 Clean out all the lube from the factory

5 lightly Rub inside of upper receiver and charging handle with scotchbrite

7 Reassemble
8 After acouple of days re strip the rifle wipe with clean cloth and relube with CLP
Magazines
1 Strip down mags
2 You will find under the feed lips inside the mag 2 black nubs of plastic cut them off flush (got this from glock forum )
3 file the feed lips back by 1 mm then re file angle (this allows round to pop out earlier and helps extractor go over rim)
4 New glock mags need to be left loaded for a weak or so to take the newness out of the springs. I just loaded them then unloaded and reloaded them each night for a week.
2nd time out 250 rounds not a stoppage ammo 124 grn S&B FMJ with both 17 round + 33 round mags

Hells teeth if that is what you need to do with a new rifle to get it to function you haven't bought a rifle but a kit.

£1300.00!
I feel a bit stuck and have learnt a lesson I hope others can learn from. Unfortunately in changing the fore end on mine I suspect that SGC will say that I have voided any warranty.
Will formulate an email later,

BLOODY HELL! and its plastic as well. :shock:
If I spent even £300 on a new rifle I'd still expect it to function upon purchase, if it didn't then it wasn't fit for purpose and should go back. Also if the company is anyway decent it will learn from its returns and sort the problem for future rifles.
Mind you what would I know I don't buy new rifles anyway. :G

DM sorry you have had many problems I would take it back as it seams to be more than a good scrb and mag problem.

I fear that it is going to have to go back, one way or another it needs SGC to look at it. I am not best pleased, never mind the gun not working I have nothing for the gallery rifle comps that are coming up.
