Should be on the barrel, normally near where it's stamped 223 rem

If it has the accutrigger then it will say on the action on the side.

Says 12" on the side, is that better/worse than if it said 8"?

I'll ask the seller of the Savage if it has Accutrigger on. The pictures he sent to me suggest that it might, as it has an additional trigger section which seems to be part of the Accutrigger.

The Steyr I'm going to have a look at has a single set trigger, apparently an option.
Careful now/that sort of thing

Accutrigger is a two stage. Some like it, some don't.

The Accutrigger has what looks like a grey blade within the normal trigger or an Orange one if it is the match trigger. They work very well however are not to my taste and if I had one I would pull the inner blade off.

I am a big fan, they mean zero risk of accidental discharge on closing bolt.

...they also mean you can lie there, looking through the scope, concentrating, finger on trigger......pull!
Nothing happens because you closed the bolt too fast....

Right...one more time, concentrate, close the bolt, tongueout

No, if they reset you can't depress the central blade, so you know straight away.

Ah yes but not until after you have concentrated on that perfect shot. It just goes click and then you have to start again.

Just differing technique i guess, I go through the first stage before any detailed aim, so don't have the issue :)
