You been reading the Daily Mail dromia

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/artic ... tance.html

As Foxes are on the official list of Pest species the technically correct term 'Vermin' is totally appropriate.

Gave up reading news papers a long while ago and the daily mail a long long time before that.

I got the topic from a Firearms UK email.

Pretty much an inevitable reaction by non shooting types to anything Gun related on a BBC program. Whilst I regard the BBC as an anti shooting organisation Countryfile as a program at least attempts to at least be neutrally fair.

Unfortunately whilst Countryfile is meant to be a program for the rural community its largest audience is Middle Class Urban types hence its Sunday evening slot on BBC1 around Tea time/Evening Meal. Something soft and easy to watch before the return to the office grind on Monday, any mention of harming fluffy harmless wildlife (however much it is pointed out that they are neither fluffy or harmless) will cause people to get upset. Add to that the "Horrified people own guns brigade" and you get this kind of response. Of course many comments on social media will be the result of various Anti Hunting groups getting their supporters whipped up via an email.

As the slot on the program at least tried to give a balance view of the situation I would still call it a victory for us publicity wise.
