We will get to the bottom of this one way or another until at least I can actually find a purpose for my existance today  so between the list of tasks I have been directed to carry out today from Mrs PE4 I shall endeavour to dig through the 25 or so ordnance ref cds the 2 are very similar the devil is in the detail as they say it looks like a 40mm (having dug up approx 20000 of the little mites in the past) but other things could also point to 2pdr which is 37mm.
I should really get myself a life as you can probably guess im not shooting this weekend
Me too. I should be going to the club AGM and morning shoot - no chance - we don't have a road anymore, just a very wide footpath!
I shall be doing some more research, in between sledging and getting pelted with snowballs from my son! I might even go through my small collection of brass and see if there is anything worth posting. Maybe we should have a brass sub-forum?

Correct in one.

I found a whole mag of these back in about '95 while doing a QRF ex on base. I pocketed a couple and handed the mag in. A short time later the XO wanted to see me, I gave him a run down of where I had found it etc, as I was leaving his office heard him say to the WOFF, "WTF are they doing here!"
He's another one for you.
