I think trying to get anything consistently better better than 1 MOA on a 300 Blackout is a mute point anyway as its a ballistically challenged short range round in any case, its not designed to be uber accurate but fills a niche market. Mine is for 100m and less, although I know it will happily knock down Fig 11s on a 300m ETR all day long it ain't going to win any 200m plus matches over here. I will work up a subsonic load using Lapua 200 grain though just to see how accurate it is.

I reckon you have it about right for the UK, if that's your bag and good luck to you!

To my mind, .300 BLK is for one thing. Shooting people who need to be shot, quickly, decisively and quietly. And by buggery, there's enough of them in this world today....

But, if you understand it's speciality and it's individuality, there's no reason why you can't play with successfully, whilst considering it's severe limitations.

I also think it's somewhat telling that, arguably the producer of the most accurate out of the box rifle available today, Savage, dropped the idea of chambering their guns in .300 BLK as it couldn't achieve the accuracy the demand...

Easy, perhaps the most ubiquitous gun combo in the UK today.... a .22 rim fire bolt gun with one of the many available mods....

Had word back and both the upper and lower receivers (bare, nothing in them) are considered 'component parts' by Durham FLD and are both licensable. So much for getting that lower sold for any kind of reasonable price!

But this is Durham, and lets be honest, they're not the most knowledgeable of licensing departments by a long way. I'd see what the NRA legal beagles say about it to be sure, ask IanWR on here.

(PSG this Saturday?)

To be honest Jeff, i'm not really bothered about pursuing it at this stage as the only benefit would be getting a slightly better price for the lower.

Yep i should be there on Saturday :good:

I must admit that the more I look at the round and the Handi-rifle combination the more I'm drawn to it. I've read the review in Shooting Sports several times, now, and I can't help but wonder...?
