Well I put 20 rds through it today, just a bit of barrell run in and test for pressure with home loads also got a rough zero at 200. It was far to wet and windy to mess around doing much else. Rifle functions very smoth even when drenched and had no signs of copper fouling when cleaning with bore foam. No signs of excess pressure with loads up to 46.5 of varget. Just need a good day with the chrony and batches of ammo to find the best load.

Take care when handling ammunition in the wet, the introduction of moisture into the chamber can lead to pressure spikes, I certainly do not mind shooting in the rain but I do take precautions to keep the breech area, my ammunition and my hands as dry as possible. An old hand towel does the trick for me :good:

kept water off ammo and protected breach as best as possible. Funny thing is new rifle fist time out soaked shoot second detail later with 223 hardly go a drop of water on it. Still good pratice and test of wet weather gear went ready for proper rain change clothes etc, went home dry my Berghaus walking gear is now shooting gear as well.
