Dougan,
You're being over-sensitive. None of my comments were actually directed at you. I don't think i'd even read your posts. Let me explain:
1. Aye cats were mentioned but to me its a regular discussion up here - 'do foxes take cats.' Up here its proven they do when there aren't lambs available, but the numpties who think them 'cuddles' believe not. My neighbours cat benefits from my dogs being trained to ignore it so it can roam at will whilst no fox is daft enough to come in range of my 4.
2. The old woman was an experience because she loved all animals. I think they all visited her regularly too because her whole place stunk of cats p***. Anyway, now she loves all animals - except foxes.
Cat breeders are no different from dog breeders. If there's a market...... I'm not saying it was a kitten farm, i just couldn't live with so many cats. I dislike them.
I think she'd lost 4 cats to foxes with bits of fur and blood to show where and how they were taken. She thought it a dog at first until she witnessed the last taken.
3.Your cats are probably safe because the foxes are well fed. No doubt you'll have neighbours either actively feeding them or leaving waste around which they can get at. Which leads me to .............................
4. I regularly come across mange ridden, starving foxes who have been dumped to slowly starve to death. Usually they're sitting out without protection, fearless of people and haven't a clue how to survive without a McDonalds nearby or an endless supply of bins to rake. Even when shot they continue to effect the area as their very presence on wild fox territories stirs them up.
Now go out and shoot something. You're obviously stuck indoors, staring at walls.
