But the FAC form states that if you are applying for a coterminus set then only four are required.
It doesn't Polchraine.

the exact words: In the case of an application for both a firearm and a shot gun certificate each of the referees should endorse a separate photograph and two photographs must be signed by you.

Page 4 and just below half way on the left hand side. What else does that mean?

That states 4 - and there is the rider which I refer to which applies if someone is applying for both ...

I'll scan and upload part of the letter I sent with mine which states 4 pictures ...

What does that prove Polchraine??

The Form 101 is quite clear...each of the two referees should endorse seperate photographs, together with two photographs signed by you...that's a minimum of SIX in anybody's book.

Dear me.

Two referees - the each endorse ONE so 1 + 1 = 2

You sign two ...

Photograph 1 - endorsed by John Smith
Photograph 2 - Endorsed by Mike Jones
Photograph 3 - signed by You
Photograph 4 - signed by You

If each referee has to sign seperate photographs and there are 2 referees, that means 4 in all, plus 2 = 6.

No, each one signs just one ... where does it say each to sign two?

Yes you have two photographs and each signs one. It would not make grammatical sense if the phrase was: Each of the two referees should endorse separate photograph.

You have seen the letter, maybe it does not "prove" the fact, but as mine went straight through in 10 days with just 4 photographs indicates that 4 is the required number.

What do they actually do with the pictures? They do not stick them on the certificates.

It could always be down to the individual FEO's interpretation, has anyone tried calling one? ;)
