It's cheap enuff with a Loopy scope an all , you need to check that the throat is good , a lot of shot out 22-250s about - it's ferociously hot when loaded up.

I have one in 243. There's a few minor mods you can do to make it shoot sweeter. They're all there in the forums.

I'd heed the advice concerning buying 2nd hand in 22-250. That's awfully cheap for a No1. Personally i wouldn't touch it unless the dealer is willing to guarantee it or better still, has passed a bore scope through it.

Thanks for the advice, guys. Looks like I'll need to tread carefully as far as a S/H 22-250 is concerned - but I suspected that anyway. I still like the No1 but I think I'll wait for the FEO to contact me - she's new and I think there'll be some horse trading over my variation. :roll: Plenty of other rifles and cartridge options to choose from!
