The bit that really grinds me about Callum is he is unbelievably amateurish and just “wrong” with technical aspects. Couple this with his smug, almost slimey presentation, his whole “act” is unpalatable. He really does seem that he believes is is the “Gun Rights Messiah”. Yeah, Yardley did as well....
And having seen how this schiester operates, using specialist exemptions to give him a platform whilst throwing other exemptions, such as s11, under the bus.... well honestly is this the bloke who you want to appear on “This Morning” couch or in front of a Home Affairs Committee to literally represent you? That’s exactly what will happen if this baffoon is given legs....
Pretty much exactly my take on it too.
He doesn't have anywhere near the in-depth knowldge of the law, nevermind it's practical applications in the country to be talking on any wide platform. As soon as there's something he doesn't agree on, or know, he makes s*** up.
Less than a week ago someone on the "English Shooting" Facebook group was asking about the legalities of bringing optics back from the US - his first post was akin to saying, "I've taken them there and brought them back without any issues whatsoever" - completely oblivious to ITAR regulations. In the spirit of not wanting anyone to fall foul I pointed out that it's a legal minefield due to optics being contained on the restricted list and that if you are caught the charges are for International arms trafficking - so really quite serious - to be followed by bunches of people whose last post was less than a year ago asking about what to ask for on their first FAC, saying "Well i've bought XYZ back without any problems"....
I took a little time to correct these people, but felt like I wasvastly outnumbered by the uninformed - and therein lies the rub of all of the avenues that I see to do with this individual and his escapades - they are always fraught with misinformation and legal inaccuracies. If these people who look up to him as the group admin and the voice on the youtube channel when even he is representing misinformation, it doesn't give us much hope of presenting a knowledgeable and law abiding firearm community.
I would say heaven forbid he ever gets any national coverage, but he's always been part of some BBC stuff about shooting in the past, so he's already worming his way towards being the next Yardley.

No, I want Tom Selleck. He'd be awesome.
I have to admit that the thought of Yardley doing his nut at his self-assumed crown as King of Shooting matters being taken from him rather appeals. Looking on the bright side helps in this utterly miserable country.

And it certainly is at the minute. Personally, it stems from nothing more than people just not minding their own business and basically shutting the fvxk up! Packham, Corbyn, Abbot, May and Johnson, should just “jog on” Take Continuity ACPO and all the other single issue pressure groups and the pointless b****** with a keyboard and an ISP with them. Leave people alone, what ever they are doing, as long as it doesn’t hurt, harm or interrupt, any other PERSON, as you’d be surprised how a harmonious equilibrium could return.
Too many people wanting to make a name for themselves or obtain “celebrity” status and riches. Please, there should never be the possibility of a young man giving make up advice to adolescent girls, bring the country’s second largest city to a standstill, nor a fluffy heart be able to threaten national security.
All the while we push “wishy-washy” outlets like “the English Amateur” will exist.

I did say IF he's flagged up a loophole................if the law is unambiguous, then obviously he's operating within it.
But it's not, is it? and it suits the authorities because it invokes the dreaded I-word, interpretation, which means they can basically say "it means what we say it means".
A bit like religion...............
