Benelli M1 Charging handle.... options?

Re: Benelli M1 Charging handle.... options?
It is simplicity itself to make such things, how are they held into the bolt assembly?
Re: Benelli M1 Charging handle.... options?
As the man says simplicity itself to make them; I've done one for my M1A and also for a Ruger Mini14.ovenpaa wrote:It is simplicity itself to make such things, how are they held into the bolt assembly?
Re: Benelli M1 Charging handle.... options?
Simplicity for some maybe..... my tool kit comprises a 1 x hammer, 1 x axe and a screwdriver with the tip snapped off..
I'm looking for over the counter solutions.... had 2 so far...
1. Dave @ Valkyrie (will assume this is Baldie Dave)
2. Briley (which I think is verysimilar, if not identical, to my installed unit)
Oh, and a mention of "The Shooting Shed".... saw that mentioned earlier...
keep any suggestions coming as I prefer to buy over the counter in the UK rather than throw my money over the pond...

Speak to Ovenpaa - aka the Shooting Shed - he asked how it attaches? - he makes some VERY snazzy things in the "Shed" - have a look at the link in his signature.Bunnyassassin wrote:Simplicity for some maybe..... my tool kit comprises a 1 x hammer, 1 x axe and a screwdriver with the tip snapped off..

Have a look at my initial post... the charging handle is "pushed" into the bolt assembly and it locks in place with the "dewhicky whatsit" on the end of the shaft...ovenpaa wrote:It is simplicity itself to make such things, how are they held into the bolt assembly?
Basically, it pushes in and can be pulled out fairly easily.... no retention pins, nuts etc..
Re: Benelli M1 Charging handle.... options?
Do you have a vernier calliper to measure the existing charging handle as I would need some dimensions, alternatively give me some rough dimensions and an idea of what you want the new one to look like and bung the existing one in the post to me, I should be able to post it back the same or next day depending on what time it arrives.
Re: Benelli M1 Charging handle.... options?
The original bolt handle shown is the GG&G. The knurled section rotates. Sale in the US at 23 dollars, available in the UK from Midway at 34 pounds.
Dave, do you want me to send my bolt handle to you to measure?

In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
