I love my Winchester 94AE-its my hooligan fun gun!

Cheapish to reload, suprisingly very accurate and with that so nice lever action. If i was told i could only have one gun this really would be it out of all i own.

 Not yet, but appropriate silver always loosens the grip. ;)

I liked the club's Rossi underlever so much I bought my own, great fun. Need to find some moving targets for it I reckon.

Cheers fella's for your opinions!

New Marlins not so good! Winchester's a lot better then and the Uberti a good bit of kit! Rossi I know nothing. Only that you liked it Shugie and got your own with no problems?

They all look the same so that's not a problem. I don't want to spend to much to be honest if I get it on my ticket. I don't think it warrant's me spending any more that £500 on a underlever which I might shoot a handful of times as my love is distance shooting.

I think the closing down sale at Adenbournes in Witney still has a Rossi in .357 going, new, for £418. Rossi are Brazilian copies of a I know not what, not as good as old Marlins, better than new, or so I've been informed.

Don't know about Ubertis other than they are Italian, seem to be going secondhand for what appears to be reasonable money.

That Rossi doesn't look at all bad at that money!

:goodjob:

I'll have to wait and see what my friendly FAO thinks!

How come no one has mentioned Henry?, I love my .44 Henry Big Boy, a complete contrast to the Marlin 1894 I just sold, nothing wrong with it and compared to the new ones much much better.

However, the fit, finish and handling of the Henry are in another league entirely, if I had to choose a gun to keep that would be it (unless I can have my S&W model 29 revolver back that is!)

When they stole my pistols I bought a Ruger 10/22 and a Winchester trapper AE in 38/357.
The Ruger lasted about twelve month before I sold. I still have the Winchester and its not going any were.
Its still one of my favourites.

Because it's big, fat, over engineered, ugly, tube fed and too bloody shiny!!! It should be called the Henry Essex...... Big Boy? What sort of name is that?!! Even Rossi's Puma is a little less comical.... :55:
