Ordering from the US

I've just ordered a 20MOA scope base from the US via E*ay.com...

It SHOULD be here in the next 4 weeks... we'll see..

The killer was the shipping...$40 for the base, $67 for shipping, and $20 for taxes (including VAT and customs hopefully!!) for a total of $127 for a $40 scope base..

(I tried ordering from Optics EU but after waiting 8 weeks when they said it would be 6 weeks, then being told it would be another 4 weeks I cancelled and got a refund)

I hope for your sake the seller has not used the ebay global shipping program .

Funnily enough, about an hour after i'd posted that, I had an email saying it had been dispatched via DHL worldwide.. I can see its currently in the Cincinnati hub...
