Yep S1 ammo. PSG comps is probably the most widely used 'good reason'. Bloody expensive though :shock:

Well being awfully bored at work yesterday i went through the video and timed the bloomin' misfeeds i had due to my god blessed mag spring, then re-calc'ed my score and i would've been 10th, bah! :roll:

But yes, there were some bally good shooters there, most of them with significantly more experience and trigger time than me, still, onwards and upwards!

Gallery rifle Target Shotgun may well have surpassed "the most widely used" title now, as the comp is shot exclusively with slug and S.1 guns.

Expensive? Honestly Mark, try loading them. An outlay of about 40 quid for the press, 20 quid for the mould and I reckon it's costing about 20 to 25 pound a hundred to load.

I've been contemplating getting on of those Lee Loadalls but i wasn't sure if you can get it to do a roll-crimp - or if standard closed crimp can be used with slugs

The Loadall is what I'm using as well as the Lee 1oz slug. Uses the standard 8 or 6 star crimp in ordinary 2 3/4" cartridge hulls and a plastic wad.

It is so simple, it's almost embarassing how difficult I thought it would be and then turned out to be the simplest of simple things.....

With the "press" being around 40 quid, it's almost disposable and is paid for in your first 100 cartridges! Even though it's almost all plastic, I've loaded a couple of thousand now with no issues. There's probably half a dozen blokes in my club who now use one.

Hmm, sounds like i might have to find some space for one then I was also wanting one so i could make some crazy game cartridges - 50g #6 and the like

Where do you buy you slugs from? The only place i've seen them is Midwayuk and the slugs are more expensive that the made up cartridges :shock:
