Well despite an email to all members advising that if no post was made to the club forum it would be locked, nobody posted, so now its locked and will be closed down in 15 days.

For clubs, they are not worth it.
It's not the pace of life that concerns me, it's the sudden stop at the end!

Its a shame when you have put the work in for it not to be appreciated , my club shut theirs down , but when it comes round to comp time I end up with non members , emailing the details and maps to them rather being able to say look at the club web site where all info should be .
