Maybe a steel transport container fixed down on a concrete pad as an extension to the wooden structure, accessed through the building only, then fix gun cabinets inside by welding in place with a enclosed high security padlock on the doors

ISO containers are surprisingly easy to break into.

More secure than a wooden club house though

At my local club the security is provided by the cabinets (safes) and the alarm system. You could probably batter your way in theyre with a wet fish.

Yes, all our club buildings (target and grounds equipment storage, toilet and clubroom) are all Transport containers, and although they have thick steel boxes welded around the padlocks, they have been broken into several times..

as someone that has built many structures for the needs of security can i make a couple of suggestions

break down your needs to specific areas as its easier to deal with

1, site perimeter fence, grounds and gates and fencing and or access via points of vehicle targeting

2, building exterior security, so doors and windows and walls, roofs and floors

3, inner security, so here we are looking at the room wall and its make up

4, lastly just the insides so cabinates inside or chains and boxes

i built a £15M insurance cash vault a few years back and the design was layers as it proved harder to deal with

timber is easy to cut, steel can be just as easy to cut and concrete is easy to break out , but add all three and suddenly its a lot lot harder to break through.

shipping containers are 3mm cortex steel and thats extreamly easy to cut through with a grinder, but you can weld lugs onto its side with rebar between you can then install a block wall or paving slabs into that frame and or even silly things like chain link wire welded to lugs spread over the steel shell.

for a timber wall look for a perforated steel mesh sheet and then sandwich it between two layers of plywood and then plasterboard bothside, look for security walls in the british gypsum white book downloads, the wood and steel mesh causes issues as its harder to cut them combined
