My comment about the spare Mosin was more tongue-in-cheek than anything else!.............

No doubt but best removed as such threads tend to go downhill fast.

I came to this empass 2 years ago and let a number of my queens go, a number on this forum. When your disciplines change you end up with a tough choice. I wouldn't let my rifles go for pennies, I don't need the money from the sales, just wanted them to go to a good home for a fair price.

I'm coming to this point again where I may reduce the rifles I own and concentrate more on a smaller number which I hope to shoot better. Fun guns are no longer fun if they are not accurate, I've been down that road and got lost in the fun zone. Now I want rifles that outshoot me and I don't question my kit when the shot goes wrong.

Good luck with the sales, or how you dispose thereof

It must be an age thing but I don't have any "fun" guns whatever that means. I shoot seven club level competitions and one national competition therefore I have eight guns. A while back I took a hard look at what I had and moved on the guns that didn't fit in with my shooting anymore. I regard myself primarily as a shooter not a gun owner.

It could be some thing to do with age. I think its more about access to suitable ranges most of my shooting is done on military ranges in fact 99.9% of it is.The .22 caliber rim fires for example are pointless. I don't have access to any indoor ranges unless I drive for hours to shoot 20 rounds.
So now a days I tend to shoot scoped guns that will get out to 500 yards maximum. I have discovered a local club that shoots indoors that might be willing to accept me as a member but probably not as the 8 page application form is proving a bit of a challenge. They require more information and references etc than is required for a fire arm certificate and the down side is they will not allow you to shoot hand loaded ammunition under any circumstances.
They claim to be a Premier North east Shooting Club. We will see how it pans out.
