I have just done my first one for one totally online, downloaded the 201v scanned the completed form back to them with a scan of my FAC.
I had an email from them to send my original FAC back within 6 days (over a weekend) so my new one can be issued, landed on my doormat 3 days later.
Happy man
Well done Kent

How was the fee paid? Did you send in a cheque?

Your lucky.... Essex not allowed to visit them, although you can drop paperwork off at main reception but not collect, they post it back to you with the words firearm and ammunition visible in the envelop window... Not very good service which we pay for....

It was a one for one, no fee

I must have skimmed over that. Mine would have been a one for one but I figured as I was going through the bother of a variation and the time it takes I might as well add some items I've been planning to buy on top.

In any event, I can't change the fact I live in Oxfordshire so the way Kent handles things isn't really relevant to my situation - although they seem to be on top of things there. I'm told, despite the time FACs are taking in Thames Valley, that they actually laid off staff - which seems ... mad.

Kent are in the same boat staffing wise with renewals taking priority, I was expecting 3 weeks plus but was obviously pleasantly surprised, but if you want to add things the you need to factor in the added time taken to involve the FEO, that's what slows things up, I originally wanted to swap one of my moderator slots for a rifle but that would also have involved an enquiry so I did a bigger calibre for a smaller one no questions asked

I don't think my additions ought to be too involved. I'm swapping a rifle for another rifle and adding some muzzle loading pistols.

My last one for one variation with Thames valley took just over 2 months which was back in August this year
My mate has been waiting for his license application to be finally signed off for 10 months now .
I allways hand deliver my paper work and pick it up from the licensing dept

My last variation additions submitted mid February this year took 19 weeks Northamptonshire, when I was eventually visited by the FEO he said not to send the certificate in with the application. I had a look at the new paperwork & from memory i'm sure I read it isn't needed but best to have a read & check the situation now.

I wont be sending my certificate in when I don't have to again unless the delay improves drastically.
