I was shooting my LR9 Uzi mag out at 100 yds at the weekend. Initially it was a 'most wanted / least used' rifle but a good session with it at the weekend has made me like it all over again.
EDIT: Spent more time picking up brass than actually firing it, it can fling cases quite a distance.

You can say that again, I was amazed how far the brass was going

Buy a brass catcher!
http://www.elmfg.com/store/brasscatcher.html#_144 When i used my LRA9 at the indoor range it was a must-have as the cases would ping off the wall next to me then straight onto my head leaving little black rings all over my face

I'm looking at the Caldwell picatinny one but I'm concerned about stoppage drills and general awareness of what the rifle is doing. I had a few stovepipes and you wouldn't automatically see them with a catcher on.

Yeah the one i linked would be no good for comps etc and it really does lock on there but for general plinking/non-timed stuff its ideal

It still is, I have only lost 1 case since I gor your gun, which is a brilliant bit of kit and every bit as good,as the one I used to own.

I think I'm veering towards the sgc. I had a good chat with them today and it seems to tick boxes...
Plus I think it's a more 'versatile' chassis than an AK-style variant, but that's of course very subjective.

Speak to Ian at ITL as he's getting Bob to make another UZI batch, he had one delivered recently.
