?? I had to get a 2nd lower receiver entered on my FAC when i had my AR, and then when i sold it i had to deposit it with an RFD (where it still languishes!). +1 That's what I'm about to do. Get every part you want from the ground up and save money doing it. Plenty of stripped parts in the states. John MH - How did you get the border barrel and bolt proofed from your RFD. Did they fit it to other parts for proofing or did they use yours. Didn't think they could handover unproofed parts or do you have 30 days to proof yourself? Understand proofing is not necessary for imports unless you intend to sell on.
All parts out of stock, I managed to get a couple of Mega Side Charging uppers from another company in the US last year as well as a Youngs Manufacturing Bolt Carrier. Finding someone who has stock and is willing to export will probably be a struggle.
Alot of parts are out of stock in the US at the moment due to the current climate. If you aren't willing to wait and happy to pay more there is always gunbroker.com. Finding a company that is willing to export is difficult, which is why you find an exporter with FFL that can export for you. All other companies you choose then send to them, then they export to you in one lot. I pay about 5% to my exporter for the value of the parts I'm importing plus shipping and export licence. So are you saying RFD handed over unproofed barrel to you, you fitted to parts at home then sent to proof yourself? Do you have 30 days to do this or something?
