Bag

#1 Post by Practical shooter »

Hello,
Can anyone recommend a back pack that can discreetly hold a ar either complete or broken down. Im looking something robust and quality made. I dont wish to use a rifle case or similar due to where I live being Iraq without the sunshine and in the middle or a bad post code.

Thanks

Aim dragbag for folders .

Sadly that's too big and would draw attention. I'm looking for something more discreet

Does it have to be a back pack? I use a violin case for my Saiga AK folder.
Guitar case?

Yeah sadly it have to be a back pack type as its the only thing that wouldn't really stick out. I know a tailor who could make adjustments to a bag if required. I appreciate the suggestions

I have the black version of the Hazard 4, Take down carbine bag. It will take a 16" AR with optics fitted when broken down in to upper and lower very easily and comes with a sleeve for one part to stop them knocking together in the bag. The black and coyote versions have moly all over them so stand out a little but he grey one is plain Jane. Very happy with mine, it seems very good quality and it I think it will last well.

One of the guys at my club uses a soft guitar case as it was cheaper than a gun slip

I think you'd be better off measuring the OAL length of your upper and barrel and buying a backpack that will suit that, unless you particulary want to spend upwards of £200 for a backpack, which, if someone knows what a guncase is and is interested by that, will spot too.
