With todays smart printers seemingly if they detect a fake cartridge they shut the printer down completely. Pretty sure that happened to me here, one HP printer junked.

I smoked many years ago and I remember grabbing a pack of B&H from a local shop and did not even have to look at them to know they were hooky, the cellophane felt wrong, the owner just shrugged his shoulders.

It was around the time I was working for a Tier 1 Automotive supplier manufacturing amongst other things suspension arms for the CDW27 (Mondeo) Ford approached us one day with an arm that had failed and when inspected it was immediately apparent it was not one of ours despite being marked so, it was counterfeit. Ford were unimpressed and told us it was still out fault as we supplied the original parts...

Turned out it had been made in India.

The world is awash with counterfeit and copied parts, even our Shooting SHED parts have been copied in the past.
