RFD underworld armourer
I don't know if this is the guy that was mentioned on here a few weeks back but this PoS looks to spend some serious time behind bars:

Re: RFD underworld armourer
I saw that article and wondered if it was but no, thats not the one I posted about. My guy should have appeared in court on the 14th but I can't find any details about what went on.

Lock the door and throw the key away comes to mind.

Re: RFD underworld armourer
Reading the article, it looks as though a huge amount of work has gone into building the case against him and linking firearms / ammunition used in crime to him.
If its all proven , a job well done and a long jail term deserved.

Re: RFD underworld armourer
I don't understand their financial motivation. So he gets a few grand for a pistol and ammo... you'd have to sell at least 50/year to even start to offset the risk. You can earn more than that by starting a legal business... with zero risk and then there's the guilt which no amount of money can offset. Where's the logic?
Re: RFD underworld armourer
Halodin, there is no logic in his actions and I would have to say I struggle to understand his motives other than financial gain or possibly something else we are missing.
Throw they key away is my opinion, he was an RFD, a trusted member of the shooting community and what he did was every bit as bad as the person who pulled the trigger.

Re: RFD underworld armourer
I guess he had unserviceable debts to people that don't accept bankruptcy or they had something on him... It's had to imagine how anyone could rationally sell guns to gangs. I agree, throw the key away, I dare say he's complicit to murder somewhere along the line...
Re: RFD underworld armourer
From the figures at the end of the article he was spending £160K a year that was going through his accounts, in an environment that was, you would suspect, largely cash based how much more went through his hands. Not bad for a one man outfit. As law abiding people we won't understand his mind set or ethics , he saw a way of making money and decided to do so.
Fortunately he's been caught.

Idiots like this will be the reason they use to ban antiques :(
Re: RFD underworld armourer
It may have been that he was approached and coerced. Threats to one's own life or the lives of your family can be a big motivator to accept a job like this, I imagine.
