Choate ultimate rifle stocks

Hi all.
I am looking for opinions on this style stock.I am still looking at a home build and this might be my only option on a winchester model 70 project.cheers berger

I seem to remember Russell S winning the Euros with one a few years ago so they must work regardless of just how ugly they are :)

I had one on a Rem 700 once... very solid, but very heavy!!

The "chequering" on it was rough enough to take skin off...!!

Overall, I liked it and would have one again.

Yeah heavy is good.it will be going on a good recoiling set up.cheers berger

I agree paa they arnt so good looking but try and find a winchester model 70 tactical stock over here.in the US there are dozens to choose from.my favorite stock is AICS stock

Good solid stock, only sold mine as wanted AICS bottom metal and mags.

Now it's been mentioned is it a single feed then.can ai bottom metal be fitted

I did find the grip to be quite large on the stock, and as had been said chequering that desperate dan could rub his callouses with

No, internal magazine only, or put it this way, I wasn't going to butcher it trying to make it fit.
