I have an RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme fitted with an In-Line Fabrication Case Kicker System and a Hornady LnL quick change die adaptor, having what seemed to be a good idea I also bought an RCBS Summit press with the idea of making die/press changes easier using only one set of dies as it also takes the Hornady adaptor.
However, it turns out that it isn't as straight forward as it would seem, when fitted to both presses there's quite a difference in the die height above the shell holder to the top of the Hornady adaptor, me being silly thought RCBS would have thought to make it the same on both presses.
So, what I need to "even things up" is a spacer/washer to sit under the adaptor and raise it to match the distance from the shell holder of the highest press, basically a steel ring, ID of 31.5mm, OD of say 36mm and a height of 3.67mm
Any ideas?, I know another shooter has made a modified shell holder for the same reason but matching the shell holder to LnL adaptor top surface height using a spacer seems a lot easier.
It's mentioned at the bottom of this article, http://bulletin.accurateshooter.com/201 ... the-field/

Actually a height of 3.7mm would be perfectly OK :)

Would aluminium suffice?

I'm sure it would, it would be a fit and forget thing, once it's on it isn't coming back off unless I sell the press :)
Actually I think I read someone made one out of hard plastic

Well I certainly have some aluminium that will do the job.
If you can just confirm/adjust the dimensions for best fit and PM me your address I will pop something in the post.
31.5 ID
36.0 OD
3.7 thick
