I shot a borrowed Rem 700 with Privi bullets to 600 and they were fine (308)

I have used them out to 500yards in .308 and 6.5x55 with no issues. Unless you are shooting bench rest or F class I don't see a problem. Don't call them heads they are bullets. On this forum you are either using bullets(jacketed) or boolits(cast). Your stay will be so much pleasanter if you get the terminology right up front take my word for it my freind.

When the dealers themselves call them bullet heads you can be forgiven for using the term yourself.

Not by me or some others on here; there's no forgiveness!

I tried the Prvi HPBT "Match" 168gr bullets and they were OK but I can get Nosler Custom Competition for around 25% less by buying from Europe and they are much more consistent. The Prvi 174 and 175gr I tried were awful, their weights and OAL were very mixed.

Just because dealers make up an incorrect and confusing name for something doesn't make it right or correct, and doing the same just compounds the error, two wrongs a right do not make.

People new to this game will know no better and use the term but unless they are corrected then they never will know better, that is what learning is all about.

Listen to Yoda you will, hmm! Search your feelings for the correct terminology you must.

I have used privi but found weights and lengths vary to much to be a good accurate long range bullet .308/6.5/.303, so now just use out to 600 yds plinking fun shoots. If you want good bullets for distance then you will need either Sierra/Berger or Lapua bullets but expensive against Privi.

Even HPS at Bisley use the term bullet heads you would think they would/should know better.
