[quote="snayperskaya"]Very nice rifles there Mr B, that Garand looks lovely . out of curiosity what the extraction like on them?. Extraction on all 3 rifles is very smooth I was very impressed with the Garand in particular slick action.
For me personally if the only way I can have a particular rifle is as a straight pull then I'll take it rather than not having one at all. Me too

Great collection bnz41. Particularly like the Garand stock, really nice piece of wood. They all shoot well don't they?
Thanks, as the Garand was almost the same colour wood as the others, thought a lighter colour would stand out, and the seller only had one set in the stack of wood all the others were dark walnut, like the original. Quick clean and several coats of BLO fitted perfectly.
Yes mate they do, will be giving the M14 another run next week for the weather.
As much as I like to look at other peoples SP rifles, they leave me cold. I've tried to get into them, I really have. I've owned three ARs, a Mini 14 and an AK. If the fairy godmother waved a wand and gave proper semis back, I'd have the AR and Mini 14 in a heart beat, but, my time is probably done with them now. I much prefer a "proper" bolt gun...
In 1978 I was told by my grand dad that the secret to rifle accuracy is, a quality bullet, fired down a quality barrel..... How has that changed?
Guns dont kill people. Dads with pretty Daughters do...!

Sim;
There is another option where you can have the best of both worlds. Get yourself a K31 clapclap

Simon, if you get the chance, try an SP Garand, they really are lovely to shoot, I know its not semi, but get over that and you see it still has the Garand charisma in spades!

try the VZ58 mars too. Mine is lovely and you get a smile on your face when you're firing .
Also if you don't want to spend that, keep an eye out in the future for the new lantac option. Tattooed gun and others who talk to Paul indicate we'll find out more at the end of the year or the beginning of next at the earliest. Have hope Simon.
