Cold bore shots

#1 Post by Westy »

Well I've just had a cold bore shot of 393m at a magpie. Amasingly I was even aiming at it. Range, calc, dial Boff..

So what's yours?

Impressive shot, was that with the 6BR and what did you use for the calculation? Memorable recent one was with the neighbour at Bisley, he suggested first to hit the V bull, so I did it first shot

260rem, the 140 amax is poss a bit big for magpies. Pejsa ballistics; always seems to give a great fit to reality and will run on any smart phone. Just add a front sheet that you enter distance and get MOA back. Then all the hassle of excel is removed.

OK 1200 v bull is nice I grant you.

lets have things that move...

If I shot at a Magpie at 393m it would still be moving. It would probaly still be laughing

I think we will find they are covered under the general vermin licence and with the landowners permission etc etc.... Much in the same way I use larson traps to get rid of the buggers to promote ground nesting birds and our special passion, skylarks. I had wondered how long it would take for the law to slowly and insidiously come in to the thread.

Springbok heart shot at 640 yards.
My mate got the one standing next to it also with a heart shot.
Not something I'd do in GB though.
Purveyor of fine cast boolits.
All round good guy and VERY grumpy old man.
